Baystate Academy to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Community Celebration

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Baystate Academy Charter Public School will bring students, families, staff and the public together for a special Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Thursday, October 15, 2026, honoring the rich cultures, traditions, histories and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

The celebration will take place at Baystate Academy, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and festivities running from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will feature food, music, art and opportunities for families to connect and celebrate together.

Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually from September 15 through October 15, provides an opportunity to recognize the generations of Hispanic and Latino Americans who have enriched communities across the country through their culture, achievements and contributions.

For Baystate Academy, the celebration is also an opportunity to recognize the cultures and traditions represented within its own school community and create a welcoming space for students and their families to share those traditions with one another.

“We are proud to celebrate the cultures, experiences and traditions that make our Baystate Academy community so special,” said Timothy Sneed, Executive Director of Baystate Academy Charter Public School.  “Events like this give our students and families an opportunity to come together, learn from one another and celebrate the diversity that strengthens our school.”

Baystate Academy invites the public and its community to attend and take part in the evening’s festivities.
